Langtang Trek- Short Holiday in Nepal



Langtang trek is an ideal walk for those who are very beginner for tough walking in the mountains. This trek offers a beautiful view of landscape,unique lifestyle of local inhabitants who make their living on traditional farming.Langtang trekking is the both cultural and scenic trekking. Langtang valley offers a great view of Langtang Lirung, Langshisa, Yala Peak. Those who have got a short time period for the trekking then they can choose the Langtang trekking which needs 6 to 7 days for trekking. If somebody wants to go longer trek combining the Langtang trek then they can do a Langtang- Gosaikunda  Trek or Langtang Helambu trek crossing Gosaikunda pass.

Langtang trekking is very easily accessible either by public bus/ jeep or private rental jeep /car. It takes 8/9 hours by public bus and 6/7 hours by Jeep to Syaprubesi . Where from you trek to Langtang- Kyanjing valley. As this trek is easy so it doesn’t require much physical fitness and acclimatization as other adventure trekking. You’ve to walk 5/6 hours a day. And as you climb up gradually till you arrive to Kyanjing valley- last settlement, you will be well acclimatized and the next day you can go a day hike to either Tsergo Ri or Langtang glaciers both will be worthy to explore for excellent views of majestic mountains and experience the wilderness at high altitude.



The best time for Langtang trekking is February- May and September- December. The temperature will be freezing cold in November – December and rest of the time it will be moderate.Somehow it is essential to have good hiking boots, down jackets, down sleeping bags. As this trek falls under the Langtang National park area you have to have National Park fees which is  equivalent to 35 $  and the TIMS fee which is 20 $ for FIT tourist and 10 $ for those who joined a trekking agency.
